VIEW SHOPPING CART PROCESS TO CHECK OUTHello! I’m Georgia, the maker and designer behind Gee Pritchard Prints. After studying Costume Design with Textiles at university, I started painting and designing prints purely as a creative outlet during my free time before evenings working in theatre. While housebound for six months during the pandemic, I was able to put all my time into printing the fabrics and bringing them to life by handmaking accessories and homewares such as hairbands, pillows and lampshades. All this was done around the kitchen table alongside my mum and brother, who run a small business of their own.
Based in London, I now design, make and promote my small business in my spare time alongside a full-time job in film and TV.
My first two collections were both inspired by the natural world but completely different from each other – one using bright, contrasting colours and the other using more neutral tones. I didn’t want to be confined to one style and found that my designs adapted to my mood at the time of making.
Then and now, all my prints are hand-painted or hand-drawn, using a variety of media such as watercolour, coloured pencils, crayons and acrylics. I finish the final pattern composition digitally before printing onto organically-sourced fabrics.
In future I aim to broaden the scope of my business to include upcycling furniture using printed fabrics.
